Machining Process – CNC routing
Zone Creations were approached to manufacture fretwork panels for bespoke built-in cabinets. The 3m x 2m bed of our CNC router, easily accommodated these panels – producing immaculately finished doors.
Using 18mm MDF core panels, 4mm MDF was CNC routed to specified design and then laminated to create doors with relief detailing. Each door was hand-finished, with all the outer edges softened with 3mm radius and then spray painted.
This technique creates an impressive product, whilst remaining highly cost-effective. It also produces are far superior finish to other methods – as well as being less time consuming.
