Zone Creations recently engaged in an interesting project to produce a state-of-the-art sales booth for the company, Go Flowers. This is part of an ongoing project to roll out sales booths in stations and shopping centres countrywide.
Zone produced technical drawings and full scale prototypes before putting the work into production. This was done to make sure that the booth closely represented the client's design specification and worked as it should. The design had to take into account not only the need to satisfy the strict fire and safety regulations imposed at the station but also to make sure the flowers would be shown to their best advantage.
Zone constructed both the internal and external features of the booth. The external walls were constructed with white powder-coated steel panels fixed to an internal framework. The steel and aluminium framework work was manufactured to ensure that the exterior shell was rigid, weather-proof and protected from vandalism. In addition to this an electric roller shutter was installed across the front for practical entry and for security when closed. The unit incorporates rear access doors to storage along with bi-folding side doors to increase the visible selling area when open. Once the outside structure was complete, external vinyl graphics were created to decorate it.
The effect of floating flowers was created by using 10mm clear polycarbonate stands machined and fabricated to incorporate internal water vessels. For both potential customers and passersby the clear finish allows the flowers to be the focal point without being interrupted by an unsightly structure. The Zone team created additional items such as a working table and portable till unit which add to the already efficient use of space.
The booth was given the finishing touch with a dibond and acrylic facia sign featuring a halo lighting affect. The lighting used was LED based for longevity and low power use. The stand also included internal lighting and power points for all appliances.
The flower booth has received positive feedback from many. Andrew, Director of Go Flowers, commented 'The stand is a success. Our second best performing shop so far and already interest from a potential franchisee.'
