This month Zone Creations were set the interesting task of producing contemporary art with up and coming young artist Maaike Stevens and as always Zone Creations delivered.
The piece was based on the global launch of Levi Classic 501s Live Unbuttoned campaign which encapsulates an unrestrained, free-spirited and self-expressive attitude behind the classic denim label. Maaike Stevens was one of the successful competition entrants selected by Vice Magazine to display her work at three London locations. This gave her the opportunity to break through the monotonous art scene and express what unbuttoned living means to her.
Within a week of diagrams being received the entire art piece was finished. Zone Creations used direct to media printing onto a dibond panel and this panel was attached to a steel framework so that it was suitable for outdoor display. Laser cut mirrored acrylic and clear PETG brackets were then added to the print to complete the work. In order to protect the artwork from weather damage and vandalism it was installed with a polycarbonate front cover and brushed aluminium trim.
