Zone Creations can CNC router individual components up to 3000mm x 2000mm. By using various tools we can achieve a countless number of profiles and machining techniques on a variety of materials. The most commonly machined materials include acrylic, timber, MDF, Plywood, Foamex, Die bond, Polycarbonate and Blizzard composite – and we can accommodate material up to a thickness of over 100mm.
In terms of drawings for machining, we can work directly from AutoCAD files. The software used by Zone Creations can distinguish between your AutoCAD layers to process various machining procedures. Recessed areas, outside cuts, inside cuts grooves, and profiled cuts should all be set as independent layers. The depth of cut should be specified in the actual layer name or clearly detailed on the supplied drawing.
Please note with CNC routing consideration needs to be given to the spacing of independent parts being machined from one panel. We can advise on the best layout, depending on materials and tools being used.
